At Nourishing Healthstyles, we practice a mind-body approach to health and wellness.

We look at how all areas of your life are connected, and help you examine your thought processes and the beliefs about yourself. Does stress in your life cause you to over-eat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

Our approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, we work with our clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding. (We promise we won't make you eat kale... unless you happen to like it!) From our experience, even the best diet in the world does not guarantee optimal health if other parts of your life are out of balance.

Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, managing stress, reducing food cravings, improving sleep and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and create new habits that will allow you to nourish your body the way nature intended. Most of the diseases that are plaguing society today are preventable and/or manageable with proper nutrition and better habits. Lifestyle medicine has none of the negative side-effects of conventional treatment. Hi there!

I'm a former accountant turned health enthusiast when I started questioning what was in the food I was eating (and feeding my family) along with generally accepted nutrition guidelines.

After spending 30 years of my life fat, sick and depressed, I was forced to take my health into my own hands when I could not get the help I needed through my family doctor and conventional medicine.

After lots of trial and mostly error, I realized that the best way to obtain optimal health is through healthy diet and lifestyle choices.

I then heard about the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and felt compelled to enroll in the comprehensive health coach training program so I could help others. I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. (To learn more about by training, click here.)
